This cover and layout was featured in the April 2024 issue of Okinawa Living Magazine. This article also featured a social media campaign that asked readers to submit their favorite dog-friendly places on Okinawa. The last 3 pages contain photos submitted by readers on Instagram and Facebook.

This layout was featured in the March 2024 issue of Okinawa Living Magazine. The article explores the honey industry in Okinawa. I wanted to evoke the sense of being in an environment surrounded with gentle honeybees.

This layout was featured in the May 2023 issue of Okinawa Living Magazine. This layout explores a selection of Okinawan burger restaurants voted best on the island by our readers. I wanted to showcase each chef/owner’s culinary creativity and mostly happy smiles with a nostalgic scrapbook feel.

This layout was featured in the August 2023 issue of Okinawa Living Magazine. Exploring various Zensai, or shaved ice shops on Okinawa, I wanted to evoke a sense of whimsy and unify the different looks of the desserts with the use of colors and angles.

This layout was featured in the November 2023 issue of Okinawa Living Magazine. This layout is a gift guide featuring Okinawan artists and craftsman. It also explains traditional gifts and products that would make memorable gifts for Christmas.

This layout was featured in the February 2023 issue of Okinawa Living Magazine. This article explains the traditional Japanese art of Ikebana, or flower arranging. I wanted to keep a simple color scheme with a complex Japanese pattern to highlight the seemingly simple, yet extremely nuanced art of Ikebana.
